TELEHEALTH SERVICES
Telehealth is the future of physiotherapy, now. Our trained therapists offer their services through a virtual medium. Theses services include an assessment through observation and interview followed by treatment via demonstration or education. If appropriate, a home program may be offered as well.
What you’ll need during your session:
- A home computer or a laptop with access to a camera and microphone. In some cases, an up-to-date version of Chrome will be necessary. 
- An open space may be required for exercises. This space should be free of obstacles with clean floors to minimize the risk of injury. 
- Exercise equipment may be required. Your therapist will notify you prior to your appointment on what is needed. 
- Comfortable clothing and footwear that is appropriate for exercise. 
- Your phone should be nearby in case of emergency. 
- Another person in the home in case of emergency. 
- Physiotherapy assessments and treatments provided through your home computer,laptop or phone using your camera and microphone. A home exercise program will be provided as well, if appropriate. 
Telehealth services is appropriate for people who may be immuno-compromised and do not wish to come into the clinic due to risk of infection.
- ICBC patients are covered, so long as you have already been provided treatment here at our clinic prior to our closure. 
- New and current WorkSafeBC patients are covered, so long as your claim has been allowed. 
- Some extended health insurance may cover some costs of treatment. 
- Prior to your first visit, a therapist will give you a call on the phone to determine whether or not you are suitable for Telehealth, free of charge.
